Desde la asignatura de Inglés, el alumnado de 2º de Bachillerato ha realizado unos artículos de opinión con su profesora Mariluz Beltrán, en este caso sobre las agendas en los teléfonos móviles.
Nowadays, the use of mobile diaries has become an indispensable tool for many people. Organizing your
daily tasks, meetings on special days through a mobile agenda allows us to have all the important
information near us at all times. However, as any tool, it also has its advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, one of the main advantages of getting organised with the mobile diary is easy access and
portability. We can take our agenda everywhere without having to carry an additional notebook of
physical diary. Moreover, the possibility of receiving reminders and automatic notifications which helps
us not to forget important dates or pending commitments. This allows us to be more efficient in time
management and fulfil our responsibilities more effectively.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages when organising our lives with a mobile phone
diary. One of them is the technological dependancy that can be generated by relying exclusively on this
type of tools. If the device is damaged or runs out of battery, we run the risk of losing all our information
and being disorganized. In addition, overexposure to screens can cause eye fatigue and affect our mental
health. Spending hours in front of the cell phone can cause stress, anxiety and even insomnia.
All in all, organizing our activities with a mobile diary has drawbacks as well as benefits. In my opinion,
it is important to find a balance between the use of technology and traditional tools to keep ourselves
organised efficiently without harming our health and well being.

In today’s digital era, it is very common to have our entire life on our phone. We use it for
everything and mobile phones have become indispensable tools serving various purposes
including acting as personal agendas for high school students. However, using them has
advantages as well as drawbacks
On the one hand, I think one advantage of mobile phones diaries is the accessibility, as
students can easily access their schedules, tasks and deadlines anywhere, anytime,
eliminating the need for carrying physical planners. Another advantage could be
organization due to the fact that mobile agenda apps offer features such as reminders,
colour options.. aiding students to organise their academic and extracurricular
commitments effectively.
On the other hand, they can be very distracting because students may find themselves
tempted to browse social media, play games or chat with friends. Another disadvantage, I
think, is screen time because looking at the mobile screen can be harmful to our visual
health. Besides, if you rely all the time on reminders to remember things, we don’t keep
our brain active.
To sum up, using your mobile as an agenda can be very useful in some occasions,
although the ideal thing would be to have both so you can use the one that suits you best.
